Earthquake tremors were felt in the federal capital Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Saturday night, causing concern among residents.
According to initial reports, the tremors were experienced at around 8:59 PM. The Seismological Centre stated that the earthquake was recorded at a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale.
Officials said the depth of the earthquake was measured at 136 kilometres, while its epicentre was located in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.
No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received.
