Foiling a plot to commit terrorism, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Saturday, in an intelligence-based operation, arrested a female would-be suicide bomber from Dera Ismael Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The would-be suicide bomber, arrested from Sheikh Yousaf camp, belongs to Waziristan, and had received training from Shah Wali alias Tariq Kochi, a militant, who was also her close associate.
In her confessional statement, the woman said that the material for the suicide attack was to be supplied by another militant named Asim. “And he was the person who had also to select the target of the attack,” she told interrogators.
A 30-bore pistol, cellphones and a tablet were recovered from the woman.
When her cellphones were checked, it emerged that the would-be suicide bomber had links with the TTP and that she had given her consent that she would blow herself up.
