The conspiracy behind the suicide attack on a Pak army vehicle in Bannu was traced to Hafiz Gul Bahadur, a Khawarij outfit hiding in Afghanistan, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Security sources said that Ittehad-ul-Mujahideen, a sub-group of Fitna al-Khawarij, claimed responsibility for the Bannu suicide attack. Ittehad-e-Mujahideen is affiliated with the Hafiz Gul Bahadur group of Fitna al-Khawarij. The ring leader of this group, Gul Bahadur, and its key commanders were hiding in Afghanistan.
Security sources said that Hafiz Gul Bahadur group was involved in terror activities in Pakistan using Afghan soil. The same terror group had attacked Bannu Cantt last year on March 4, 2025, during Ramadan, which was planned from Afghan soil
Major Adnan Shaheed was martyred while fighting bravely during the Fitna-ul-Kharij attack on Federal Constabulary Bannu on September 2, 2025.
The terror group had claimed responsibility for several attacks in North and South Waziristan, including Mir Ali.
It was later proved that these attacks were also planned and facilitated from Afghanistan. The presence of Hafiz Gul Bahadur and other key leaders of Fitna al-Khawarij in Afghanistan is proof that Afghan soil is being used for terrorism.
The Afghan Taliban regime’s support for terrorist organizations makes it clear that terrorists have safe havens in Afghanistan. Evidence has also shown that over 70% of the elements involved in terrorist incidents in Pakistan are of Afghan origin or belong to networks linked to Afghanistan. The Afghan Taliban regime's sponsorship of terrorists is continuously sabotaging peace efforts in the region.
