IHC bars police from registering case against PTI MNA

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Wednesday annulled a court order for registering a case against PTI MNA Kanwal Shauzab on charges of torturing a citizen.

The IHC chief justice summoned the Shalimar SHO and ordered the police not to register the case against the lawmaker.

Raja Abdul Rehman moved the court of Additional Session Judge Faizan Haider seeking directives to register the case against the PTI MNA on charges of torturing his wife. He alleged she also snatched his wife’s mobile.

Admitting the citizen’s petition and ordered the police to book the lawmaker. However, the IHC suspended the order and summoned police head
