The Department of School Education in Punjab has announced that schools across the province will start at 9:30 am on January 31, 2024, due to the severe cold weather, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The decision extends the previous order that implemented the same timings until January 22, 2024.
The department has also given a concession to the students to wear any warm clothes instead of uniforms during the winter season, especially in the months of January and February.
The chief minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, had ordered to reopen the schools after an extended winter break with new timings on January 10. He also advised the students to wear jackets and warm clothes for their safety and comfort.
