Graves exhumation of ex-DSP Usman Haider’s wife, daughter completed

The grave exhumation of former DSP Usman Haider’s wife and daughter was completed in Lahore on Wednesday, and their body samples were sent for repost-mortem procedure, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to details, during the investigation, accused Usman Haider admitted that he threw the dead bodies of his wife and daughter in the Kahna and Ferozewala areas of Lahore.

Kahna and Ferozwala police buried the wife and daughter, considering them abandoned, after finding their bodies.

Buki Police nominated Tehmina Shaukat sister of DSP Usman Haider, as the complainant in the FIR, which was registered vide Section 302 PPC.

Later, Tehmina Shoukat sought custody of her sister and niece. Tehmina Shaukat said that she will bury the dead bodies in Uch Sharif.

Earlier, on December 11, 2025, the mystery surrounding the disappearance of Lahore DSP Usman Haider’s wife and daughter was resolved, as the officer confessed to murdering them.

DIG Zeeshan Raza confirmed that DSP Usman Haider shot and killed his wife and daughter.

The suspect had previously filed an FIR at Burki Police Station about a month ago, reporting them missing.

According to police, the daughter’s body was recovered from Kahna, while the wife’s body was found in Sheikhupura.

Both bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, while further investigations are underway.

Police sources revealed that the murders were the result of a domestic dispute.

It was also disclosed that DSP Usman Haider had two marriages. The victims were his first wife and their daughter.

The domestic tensions escalated after his second marriage, ultimately leading to the tragic killings.

Police said that after committing the murders, Usman Haider staged the disappearance of his wife and daughter and even repeatedly accused them of being abducted when visiting his in-laws.

Following these developments, DSP Usman Haider was taken into custody, where he confessed to the crime.
