Four members of a family were killed when a trailer hit a motorcycle on Raiwind-Raja Jang Road near Narang Mandi, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday.
According to eyewitnesses, Ali was riding the motorcycle when it was hit by a trailer coming from the opposite direction. The motorcyclists died on the spot and the trailer driver fled the scene.
The affected family belongs to Dera Mewan village of Narang Mandi. The deceased include 42-year-old Taslim, 32-year-old Shabnam, 20-year-old Ali, and a 2-year-old girl.
Rescue-1122 personnel and area police rushed to the spot and shifted the dead to hospital. Locals have demanded the immediate arrest of the trailer driver and a transparent investigation into the incident.
