Sahir Lodhi has been talk of the town after his video clip went viral, sparking ‘The Sahir Lodhi Trend’ on social media. In the viral clip, the host can be seen pretending that Indian paparazzi are filming him; however, People have trolled and imitated Lodhi for his ‘over the top’ style in the circulating video. Many celebrities, like Yasir Nawaz and Faisal Qureshi, also jumped on the bandwagon by making funny videos, parodying Sahir Lodhi.
Moving on in the latest rounds of events, Mehwish Hayat took to her Instagram handle and slammed all the humor against Sahir Lodhi, admiring her contribution to the industry.
“Sahir Lodhi is someone who's worked consistently, shown up with passion, and built a name in an industry that's not easy to survive in. It's really not fair how some people make fun of him- often forgetting that he's a human being with feelings, just like the rest of us. You don't have to agree with someone's style or choices, but basic respect should never go out of fashion. Let's normalize kindness, especially toward those who keep showing up, no matter what the world throws at them,” she wrote in the upload.
Sahir Lodhi has been criticized ever since he began his career for various reasons. He has usually been targeted for copying the Bollywood actor, Shah Rukh Khan.
