The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has introduced strict measures aimed at ensuring transparency, fairness, and safety in athletic events involving players under the age of 21, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.
According to a notification, all junior players participating in PSB-organized events will now be required to submit a verified B-Form, CNIC, and comprehensive medical examination reports, including dental and radiological tests, to validate their age.
The PSB has categorized age tampering as a clear violation of its code of ethics, stressing that providing false or misleading information will lead to immediate disqualification from participation in training camps.
Furthermore, such players will be declared ineligible for financial assistance or cash awards, with potential disciplinary actions to follow.
The notification mandates that each player’s documents must be certified by the president and secretary general of their respective sports federation.
Any case involving suspicious or forged documentation will result in the player’s exclusion from the event and may lead to further punitive measures.
The PSB urged that age fraud jeopardizes fair competition, depriving deserving athletes of opportunities and putting participants at risk due to unequal physical development.
The initiative has been supported by the IOA and other global sports organizations, who have long advocated for strict enforcement against age manipulation to uphold transparency and integrity in sports.
