PML-N’s campaign for the general elections to be held in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on July 27 will today enter an important phase as the former prime minister and the party President Nawaz Sharif will address a public gathering in Muzzafarabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will also accompany the former prime minister to the AJK capital and will address the rally.
In this connection, Adviser to PM Rana Sanaullah and Federal Minister Amir Muqam visited the venue for the gathering and reviewed the arrangements made for the purpose.
Both also chaired a high-level meeting and discussed in detail the party’s strategy for the elections as well as the ongoing election campaign.
They concurred that the campaign must be made more effective.
It was also decided that a door-to-door campaign would be accelerated to win the support of voters.
Speaking on the occasion, Amir Muqam said that today’s rally would turn out to be the largest gathering in the history of AJK as enthusiastic workers would throng the venue.
PML-N AJK President Shah Ghulam Qadir, former AJK prime minister Raja Farooq Haider, Raja Saqib Majeed, Noreen Arif, Chaudhry Shahzad, Mustafa Bashir, Chaudhry Rasheed, Raja Faisal Azad and Iftikhar Gilani will lead caravans of workers.
