Punjab appoints acting vice chancellors at five medical universities

The Punjab government has appointed acting vice chancellors at five public medical universities after the tenure of their incumbent vice chancellors came to an end, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday.

According to the Health Department, Prof Nadia Naseem has been appointed acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences (UHS), Prof Dr Khurram will head Rawalpindi Medical University, Prof Muhammad Moeen has been assigned King Edward Medical University, Prof Abdul Majeed has been appointed acting Vice Chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Medical University, and Prof Faisal Bilal Lodhi will serve as acting Vice Chancellor of Faisalabad Medical University.

The appointments have been made temporarily to ensure the smooth functioning of the institutions until permanent vice chancellors are selected.

The Punjab government has already invited applications for the permanent positions and is expected to begin the interview process for the new vice chancellors in the coming weeks.
