Pakistani actress, filmmaker, and social activist Naeema Butt has ignited widespread discussion on social media after releasing a powerful rap anthem dedicated to what she described as the ‘warriors for humanity and justice’ and the victims of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Taking to Instagram, Butt unveiled the music video alongside a heartfelt message, writing, "A Tribute to the warriors for humanity and justice against all satanic rituals. Allah Hu Akbar!"
In the lengthy caption, she dedicated the anthem to "the man who lost his life organizing the football match screening in Gaza," children who were killed in the conflict, and innocent youngsters suffering because of what she described as "corrupt leaders."
The actress also paid tribute to Egypt national football team coach Hossam Hassan for raising the Palestinian flag and Egyptian footballer Mostafa Zico, praising him for saying, "Allah is Sufficient for us."
She revealed that she was responsible for the vocals, lyrics, composition, music, and video direction of the anthem, while also acknowledging the team that contributed to its production.
The rap delivers hard-hitting lines such as: "You couldn't kill the vibe, couldn't kill the tribe. You worship the satan but the satan didn't survive. You failed, you killed, betrayed, you lied. We came, conquered, we aim, we pray, we play for justice."
Through its themes of resilience, resistance, and justice, the anthem aims to express solidarity with those affected by war and humanitarian suffering.
Several social media users humorously compared her performance to American rapper Nicki Minaj, dubbing her "Desi Minaj."
Others questioned the execution of the rap, leaving comments such as, "Girl, wtf is this?" and "How to delete someone else's video?" Memes and parody posts inspired by the video also quickly circulated across social media platforms.
At the same time, a section of fans defended the actress, appreciating her effort to raise awareness through music and applauding her for speaking about the humanitarian crisis.
Naeema Butt rose to prominence with her acclaimed portrayal of Rubab in the blockbuster drama Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum. Since then, she has remained vocal on social and humanitarian issues while continuing to pursue acting, filmmaking, and independent creative projects.
