Cases of the Congo virus in Karachi are on the rise as two more persons suffering from the virus died on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

On the other hand, two doctors, performing duties at Jinnah Hospital, were hospitalized after they showed symptoms of the virus.

Jinnah Hospital spokesman Jahangir Durrani said that tests of these doctors had been conducted.

Khurram Rauf Khan, a general physician at New Karachi Hospital, has urged the people to exercise caution since there are 100 per cent chances of a person dying from the disease.

He has advised people to see a doctor in case they feel pain in their head and neck and fever.

“People should also consult a doctor in case blood oozes from their mouth or any other part of their body,” he has counselled.

He has said that there is no harm in going near the animals, but precautionary measures must be taken.
