Pakistani actor Shahzad Nawaz has shared an interesting BTS detail about one of Dr. Bahu’s most talked-about characters, revealing that even the cast and crew often found themselves laughing because of Shahnawaz’s unusual dialogues and behaviour.
During a recent interview, Shahzad reflected on his experience playing Shahnawaz, a character who became known for his eccentric personality, dramatic reactions and unconventional way of thinking. According to the actor, many of the lines written for the character felt so bizarre that they regularly amused people on set.
Recalling those moments, Shahzad said that cast members would often laugh while rehearsing or filming scenes because some of Shahnawaz’s remarks seemed completely unexpected.
However, despite how exaggerated the character sometimes appeared, he believes there was a reason audiences connected with him so strongly.
The actor explained that Shahnawaz was not entirely fictional. In his view, people with similar personalities and attitudes exist in real life, which made the character feel familiar to many viewers.
He said that while audiences laughed at Shahnawaz’s actions and opinions, they could also recognize traits they had seen in people around them.
According to Shahzad Nawaz, this connection to reality is what helped the character become so memorable.
