Rain accompanied by strong winds around Lahore Airport on Sunday caused significant disruption to flight operations, with multiple aircraft forced to circle in the air due to landing difficulties.

According to aviation sources, Flight PF 145 arriving from Karachi to Lahore faced difficulties during its landing attempt. Air Traffic Control (ATC) officials did not permit the aircraft to land due to adverse weather conditions, forcing it to continue circling in the air until further clearance.

Similarly, Flight OD 131 arriving from Kuala Lumpur to Lahore, was denied landing permission and had to remain airborne while awaiting improved conditions.

An AirAsia flight, PF 787, operating from Dubai to Lahore, encountered the same situation and was instructed to circle in the air as strong winds and rain affected visibility and runway safety.

Airport authorities are monitoring the weather situation closely, while passengers on affected flights experienced delays due to the temporary suspension of landing operations.
