Dr Zafar Mirza, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health, has thanked actress Mahira Khan for playing her part in the national fight against coronavirus.
“Thank you @TheMahiraKhan for your contribution to Pakistan’s fight against #coronavirus,” he tweeted on Saturday. In her public service video message, retweeted by Dr Zafar, Mahira said:
“We don’t have to fear coronavirus; we have to fight it by being a bit smart and careful.”
“Together we can defeat it and live a vibrant life – by washing our hands regularly and thoroughly with soap and by using hand sentizers; by covering our mouth and nose while sneezing and coughing; and by consulting a doctor in case of emergence of any symptoms (of coronavirus).
“[Remember, that] as much as 98% of coronavirus patients recover (from illness).
“So, we don’t have to fear coronavirus; we have to fight it.”
