Federal Interior and Narcotics Control Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday.

Ongoing political and security situations, interior ministry affairs and anti-narcotic measures, power pilferage crackdown and PCB matters were discussed during the meeting.

The interior minister informed the PM about the task given to the Federal Investigation Agency to prevent electricity theft across the country.

He briefed Shehbaz Sharif about the proposed reforms and restructuring plan of FIA and the National Counter Terrorism Authority

The prime minister stressed stern action should be taken against power pilferers.

Earlier, the federal minister directed the FIA to swoop upon power and gas thieves.

Chairing a meeting at his office, the minister instructed the agency to take strict legal action against those involved in electricity and gas thefts.

The FIA officials informed the minister that special teams were already constituted to crack down on electricity and gas thieves on the past instructions given in the last meeting.
