PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari chairs a meeting to review update on Sindh Peoples Housing Scheme. Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and Chief Secretary attend the meeting, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Bilawal was briefed that more than 2 million victims have been confirmed. About 11 lakh bank accounts have been opened, 1.2 million people have been provided financial assistance. It was briefed that 660,000 houses have been constructed up to the foundation, 400,000 families have been moved to fully prepared houses.
Sindh government has also completed the process of allotting residential land to 301,442 families on government land. The district administration has been directed to start the process of distributing land ownership rights within two weeks.
The houses have been designed according to local needs, including facilities like kitchen, bathroom and courtyard. On the occasion, Bilawal said the speedy completion of the Sindh People's Housing project is welcome.
He said the completion of the project will provide permanent shelter to millions of homeless families. Bilawal said Pakistan People's Party has been taking such extraordinary steps in every era to serve the people.
