The price of gold in Pakistan saw massive drop on Thursday, reflecting global market trends. According to All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased by Rs2,000 and settled at the highest ever Rs318,800 in the local market.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold fell by Rs1,712, taking it to Rs273,319. In the international market also, the price of gold saw a drop of $19 on Thursday, reaching $3,031 per ounce with an additional premium of $20. Moreover, the price of 24-karat silver in the local market also decreased to Rs3,475 per tola.
