A heart-broken young man namely Yasir Hussain who belonged to Baramulla town of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) has committed suicide by jumping into River Jhelum after a girl whom he wanted to marry turned down his marriage proposal, reported 24NewsHDTV channel on Friday.
The dead body of the young man crossed Line of Control (LoC) with water flow and reached Hattian Bala area of Chinari in Azad Kashmir.
Local residents after taking notice of the dead body in the River Jhelum informed Rescue 1122 team.
Soon after receiving the report, a Rescue 1122 team immediately reached the site and retrieved the dead body from River Jhelum.
Rescue sources said the young man was resident of Busgaran area of Uri located in Indian-occupied Kashmir.
Sources further revealed that the dead body of the young man was recovered during the night between Thursday and Friday.
Rescue 1122 team immediately shifted the dead body to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) in Hattian Bala where legal proceedings were conducted.
Police sources said that if the heirs of the deceased will contact them then they will return the body through Chakothi Crossing Point along LoC.
As per social media reports, Yasir Hussain decided to end his life by jumping into the River Jhelum after a girl whom he loved rejected his marriage proposal.
