The Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah Khan, said on Saturday that the political practices of 2018 will not be repeated and those responsible for launching projects at that time remain under scrutiny.
Speaking to media in Faisalabad, Sanaullah stressed that while the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) may seek negotiations with the establishment, it is not ready to engage in responsible politics.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, he categorically stated that no deals or leniency would be extended to PTI, emphasising that discussions of direct political settlements, as witnessed in 2018, are no longer possible. “For PTI, there will be no backroom deals or shortcuts,” he asserted.
On foreign policy matters, Sanaullah clarified that Pakistan has no quarrel with Afghanistan, provided that terrorism is curtailed from within Afghan territory.
He also highlighted Pakistan’s strong condemnation of aggression against Iran and expressed disapproval of the killing of the Iranian Supreme Leader, noting the government’s commitment to regional stability and peaceful relations.
