The government has removed Islamabad IG Police Ahsan Younus transferring his services to Punjab government, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, the government on Saturday removed Islamabad IG Younus and transferred him to Punjab while appointing BPS 20 officer Akbar Nasir Khan as new Islamabad IG police.
Mr Khan had already served in the National Counter Terrorism Authority Pakistan (NACTA).
Mr Younus was appointed as the Islamabad IGP in December 2021 by the previous PTI government.
