For the first time in history, the Punjab cabinet will meet in Gujranwala today as Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi is due to reach the city shortly, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
During his one-day stay, the chief minister will visit government departments, educational institutions, police stations, the Central Jail, the Children's Hospital and the Civil Hospital.
He will inaugurate the first Burns Unit at the state-of-the-art Children's Hospital, which was completed in just six months, besides laying the foundation stone of the University of Gujranwala.
He will also visit the site of Aimanabad Motorway Link Road and receive a briefing there.
He is also scheduled to meet different delegations during the visit.
Helipad is ready at Quaid-e-Azam Public School for the landing of the CM’s helicopter.
Provincial ministers, chief secretary and inspector general of police (IGP), Punjab will also accompany the chief minister on the visit.
