The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday dismissed the detention order of 114 teachers and directed their immediate release, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
These teachers were detained in Lahore during a protest against the privatization of schools.
According to sources, the LHC ordered the immediate release of the 114 detained teachers.
Justice Shakeel Ahmed heard the petition of the teachers union while Advocate Malik Aziz Awan gave arguments during the hearing.
In reaction to the detentions, teachers have also threatened to boycott examination duties, saying they will abstain from duty during the intermediate exams starting from October 20.
They have also announced to boycott paper-setting process and practical examination.
