The National Selection Committee has reportedly finalised most of Pakistan’s T20 squad, with several senior players expected to make a comeback, according to sources familiar with the development.

Star batter Babar Azam is likely to return to the T20 lineup, while Saim Ayub and Mohammad Haris are expected to retain their places in the team. Fast bowlers Hasan Ali and Haris Rauf will also be part of the squad, sources added.

Pace sensation Naseem Shah, who has been recovering from injury, is also likely to make his comeback to the shortest format.

Meanwhile, selectors have reportedly decided to drop Khushdil Shah and Hussain Talat from the squad, while Irfan Niazi is being considered for inclusion.

Sources said it has become increasingly difficult for wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan to secure a spot in the T20 side due to recent performance considerations and team balance.

Left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi may be rested from either the T20 or ODI series, with the final decision yet to be made by the team management.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to make an official announcement once the selection committee receives final approval from the board’s top management.
