An anti-corruption court of Lahore announced to indict former Punjab Chief Minister Caudhary Pervez Elahi in an illegal appointments case on November 6, 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the hearing of the case, Judge Javed Iqbal Warraich ordered lawyers representing Chaudhary Pervez Elahi and other co-accused to submit their arguments on their acquittal pleas.
The prosecutor also objected to an application filed by Chaudhary Pervez Elahi for his exemption from the court hearing.
The prosecutor requested the court to grant him time to file a reply in this case.
In a written order, the Court said that Pervez Elahi failed to appear in the court on the last date of the hearing.
The Court further ordered prosecution lawyers to submit their final arguments on their acquittal pleas.
