Social media personality Emaan Rajab, wife of YouTuber Rajab Butt, has opened up about the emotional circumstances surrounding their son Kivan Sultan Butt’s first birthday, expressing hope that Rajab will eventually return to take her and their son home and that the family can move forward together.
A video making the rounds on social media features Emaan explaining that she wanted Kivan’s first birthday to be a cherished family memory rather than a celebration held inside a courtroom.
According to Emaan, there had initially been an application from Rajab’s side suggesting that Kivan’s birthday could be celebrated in court. Wanting her son to spend the special occasion surrounded by his family, Emaan said she approached the sessions court with a stay application, which was accepted.
She recalled that after returning home on September 17, once the family had already decided for the birthday venue, they learned that an appeal had been filed in the high court, with the hearing scheduled for the following morning.
“Everything was uncertain, so I stopped all the invoices and put the birthday celebrations on standby,” Emaan explained.
She said she was grateful that the high court also granted a stay in their favour, allowing the family to celebrate Kivan’s first birthday in the way she had hoped.
Emaan said the occasion eventually brought together Kivan’s father, grandparents and both sides of the family, allowing everyone to be present for his special day.
She further revealed that she deliberately put her personal feelings and past differences aside for her son.
“I put everything aside, including my ego and the things that had happened in the past, because it was Kivan’s day,” she said.
Emaan also praised social media personality Nadeem Nani Wala for his support during the tense situation at the birthday venue.
According to Emaan, when Nadeem and his family arrived, the situation became difficult, and Nadeem even suggested that Kivan could be handed over to him to take the child in his car.
However, Emaan said she wanted everyone who had made it that far to remain part of Kivan’s happiness and celebrate the occasion together.
She said they eventually managed to put their differences aside and make the day special for Kivan, while expressing her heartfelt appreciation for Nadeem’s role in bringing the situation under control.
Emaan added that she wished Rajab’s close relatives and friends had also played a similar role in helping resolve the family’s differences before matters reached this point.
Reflecting on the future, Emaan made an emotional appeal, saying that she and Kivan are still waiting for things to become normal.
“We are still waiting for everything to be okay between me and Kivan, and for Rajab to come back, take us home and sort everything out,” she said.
With Kivan’s first birthday bringing the family together amid their ongoing differences, Emaan’s comments have once again put the spotlight on the possibility of reconciliation between the couple.
