The federal government has issued orders regarding transfers, postings and contract extensions in the federal bureaucracy, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday.
According to separate notifications issued by the Establishment Division, the contract appointment of retired Grade-22 officer Dr Hamid Atiq Sarwar as Member (Strategic Transformation) at the FBR Headquarters, Islamabad, has been extended for another year.
The extension is effective from August 18, 2026.
Additional Secretary, Establishment Division, Syed Moazzam Ali, has also been given the current charge of Rector, National School of Public Policy (NSPP), Lahore, in addition to his existing responsibilities.
Joint Secretary, Interior Division, Akhlaq Ahmed Qureshi, has been transferred and directed to report to the Establishment Division.
Meanwhile, Ejaz Ahmed Bajwa, who was at the disposal of the NSPP, has been appointed Joint Secretary, Petroleum Division.
Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) Grade-19 officer Asad Ali Khan, who was serving with the Sindh government, has also been transferred and directed to report to the Establishment Division.
In another notification, Deputy Secretary Establishment Division Tahira Saleem has been posted as OSD as she proceeds abroad on a two-year educational leave.
The Establishment Division also approved the deputation of Dr Saleha Syed, a medical officer of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department, to the Federal Medical College, Islamabad, for three years.
Similarly, Maria Hassan, a psychologist at the Punjab government's Government Special Education Centre, has been deputed for three years as a lecturer at the Federal Government Educational Institutions (Cantonments and Garrisons) Directorate, Rawalpindi.
