Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati has called a session of the provincial assembly for Monday, September 21, 2026, at 7 pm, 24NewsHD TV reported.
The session has been summoned on just one day’s notice after the previously scheduled date was suddenly changed.
The assembly had earlier been scheduled to meet on October 5 at 2 pm.
A notification issued by the Special Secretary of the KP Assembly on Sunday, September 20, described the early session as being required for “most immediate Assembly business.”
However, no agenda for the session has so far been made public.
The sudden change in the assembly schedule has drawn attention, as lawmakers had originally been expected to meet in October.
