Pakistani superstar Mehwish Hayat has make make her much anticipated return to television with the mega project drama serial ‘Rutba’, finally giving fans a glimpse of her intriguing character, Shehnaz.
The actress took to Instagram to unveil a teaser featuring her first look as Shehnaz, officially marking the beginning of her highly awaited television comeback.
Sharing the first glimpse, Mehwish penned an emotional note about the character and her experience of returning to the small screen.
“And so, Rutba begins… Meet Shehnaz ,” she wrote.
“A character who challenged me, surprised me and became incredibly special to me. It feels so good to return to your television screens with a story as meaningful as Rutba,” Mehwish added.
Keeping the storyline under wraps, the actress teased an intense viewing experience for audiences.
“I won’t reveal too much, but this one will keep you hooked and on the edge of your seat,” she wrote.
Mehwish also expressed excitement about collaborating with the drama’s star-studded cast and acclaimed creative team.
“It was incredible working with Zahid, Talha and Hiba, reuniting with Haseeb Hasan after so long and bringing Umera Ahmed’s powerful writing to life,” she shared.
The actress also gave a special shout-out to producer Sana Shahnawaz, praising the entire team for their dedication to the project.
“The entire team has poured its heart and soul into this. Coming back with Rutba feels like coming home,” Mehwish concluded.
