Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his message, said Eid-ul-Fitr provides an opportunity for the practical expression of the spirit of patience, contentment and consideration for others, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
He urged the people to share their joy of Eid with all those who are oppressed by hardships.
The prime minister said the coalition government is making continuous efforts to lessen economic difficulties of the people.
He also requested the people to remember the flood-hit people on the occasion of Eid by helping them generously.
Shehbaz Sharif also acknowledged the sacrifices of the martyrs who laid down their lives in fighting terrorism and offered heartfelt condolences to their families.
He expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine and Kashmir in their struggle for freedom.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also felicitated Pakistanis at home and abroad on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
“Heartiest felicitations on the joyous occasion of Eid-al-Fitr to my fellow Pakistanis at home and abroad. This is also a time to remember the less fortunate amongst us still suffering from the recent floods, and Kashmiri brothers and sisters under brutal oppression. Eid Mubarak,” he tweeted.
