Gold and silver prices recorded a decline in both international and local markets, reflecting a downward trend in precious metal rates, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, in the global market, gold fell by 12 dollars per ounce, bringing the price down to 4,766 dollars per ounce. The decrease in international rates also impacted the local market.
In Pakistan, the price of gold per tola decreased by 1,200 rupees, falling below the 5 lakh rupee mark.
The new price of gold per tola stands at 498,962 rupees. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by 1,029 rupees to 427,779 rupees.
Silver prices also witnessed a decline, with the per tola rate falling by 34 rupees to 8,324 rupees.
Market analysts say the movement reflects fluctuations in global demand and international trading trends, which continue to influence local pricing.
