As a court in India hears a very important case against incarcerated Kashmiri Hurriyet leader Yasin Malik today, Mushaal Hussein Malik, his wife, on Wednesday appealed to the world to immediately intervene, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a video message, she said that Yasin had already been sentenced to life imprisonment in two cases. “But now, risks to his life are greater since his health is deteriorating fast,” she said, adding that Yasin had dissociated himself from armed struggle and opted to struggle for a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue. “But now, he is paying the price of giving that assurance,” Mushaal added.
She appealed to the USA, China, OIC and other world organizations to urge India to provide Yasin medical facilities and set him free.
Mushaal warned that Kashmir was a sensitive area, and if its leadership was suppressed, it would have consequences for peace of the entire region.
