The Punjab government on Wednesday decided to provide e-bikes to teachers of the province, reported 24News HD TV Channel.
Applications for the Chief Minister’s E-Bike Scheme will be invited soon. Interested candidates can apply for the e-book through the Punjab Teachers Foundation website.
The Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC), service certificate and driving licence must be submitted along with the application.
A passport-size photograph of the interested candidate must be attached with the application.
Candidates can download the attested receipt for the bike. After submission of an online application, candidates can get a message or email for confirmation from the Punjab Teachers Foundation.
The price of e-bikes will be between Rs 200,000 and Rs 250,000. Punjab government will provide a 30 per cent to 40 percent subsidy on every bike.
The rest of the payment will be payable in easy instalments of two to three years. The monthly instalment of e-bikes will be between Rs3600 and Rs4200 per month.
Teachers will be eligible to avail themselves of the facility of e-bikes.
