According to a circular of the Supreme Court, lawyers participated in the Islamabad bench from Quetta, Karachi and Hyderabad via video link.
Chief Justice Islamabad, while Justice Ayesha Malik joined the bench from Lahore.
The Supreme Court continued the judicial proceedings without interruption even in the emergency situation.
Completely digital case files were used in place of traditional paper boxes.
The need to request records from branch registries has been significantly reduced.
Barcoding of cases, e-filing and e-office system have been activated.
Electronic transmission of court orders has enabled prompt delivery of decisions.
Video link hearings have reduced distances, reduced costs and increased accessibility.
The Supreme Court is committed to promoting people-friendly, transparent and technology-based justice.
