Temperature in Lahore to shoot up to 41 degrees Celsius as heat increases across country

Temperatures have begun to rise across the country, especially in the plains of Sindh, Punjab and KP, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Lahore in the grip of hot weather

It was hot in Lahore early in the morning on Wednesday as the Met Office predicted that the maximum temperature in the city of gardens would rise to 41 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperatures was recorded at 28 degrees Celsius, while the level of humidity in the air in the morning stood at 52 per cent.

Breeze was blowing at the speed of nine kilometers per hour.

Hot weather in Karachi

It is also getting hotter in Karachi day by day as the maximum temperature in the port city would touch the 34 degrees Celsius mark later in the day, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 25 degrees Celsius.

Winds were blowing in the city from the south-westerly direction at the speed of 11 kilometers per hour.

The level of humidity in the air stood at 77 per cent.

Temperatures rise in Islamabad

Just like other parts of the country, temperatures have also started to creep up in Islamabad as the weather department forecast that the maximum temperature in the federal capital would increase to 36 degrees Celsius later in the day.

The Met Office said that temperatures would go up further in days to come.

Similar weather conditions exist in the plains of KP and at low-altitudes in Gilgit-Baltistan, while it was partly cloudy in AJK on Wednesday, with chances of rain in the upper areas.
