Two suspects have been arrested at the Torkham Border Crossing after attempting to travel to Afghanistan using forged documents, officials from the Federal Investigation Agency confirmed.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the arrests were made during immigration clearance under the Integrated Border Management System, where authorities detected irregularities in travel documents.

According to FIA officials, the suspects were trying to bypass the National Database and Registration Authority system by using fake and bogus travel manifests.

The detained individuals were identified as Kamil Yousafzai and Khanzeb. Investigators revealed that both men had allegedly paid Rs80,000 each to an agent for the preparation of the forged documents.

Following their arrest, the suspects were transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle of the FIA in Peshawar for further investigation and legal proceedings.

Authorities stated that operations against human smuggling and the use of fraudulent documentation would continue, with stricter monitoring at border points to prevent illegal crossings.
