Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday took serious notice on the public complaints regarding inflated electricity bills and sought an immediate report from the concerned authorities with their suggestions, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He was presiding over an emergency meeting in Islamabad which was also attended by Federal Minster for Power Khurram Dastgir Khan, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Ahad Cheema, and other concerned high-ups.
PM Shahbaz directed the officials concerned to submit a detailed report with recommendations regarding public complaints on higher electricity bills on a priority basis.
Expressing the commitment to address the grievances of the public, the premier said he was answerable to the people.
“Khadim-e-Pakistan is answerable to his people for resolution of their grievances. I am committed to speaking truth to my people,” he remarked.
