PU issues reformed hostel allotment policy 2025 for new admissions

Punjab University has issued a reformed hostel allotment policy 2025 for new admissions, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday. 

In this regard, Chairman Hall Council Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akbar Khan said for two-year programs, hostels will be allotted for a maximum of two years and for four-year programs for four years and no extension will be given for two-year and four-year programs. 

He said for PhD scholars, hostels will be allotted initially for one year and extension can be made up to a maximum of three years on the recommendation of the supervisor and the head of the department. 

Chairman Hall Council said hostels will be allotted only to students who appear on merit in the morning program. 

Dr. Muhammad Akbar Khan said four students from each department's BS, MPhil and PhD programs will be allotted hostels. 

The Hall Council will prepare a list of vacant seats on the basis of which the allotment period will be fixed, Chairman Hall Council said. 

He said no student will be allowed to enter the hostel premises without paying the certified fee. 

According to Chairman Hall Council Professor Dr. Muhammad Akbar Khan, the aim of implementing the new reform policy is to establish a transparent, merit-based and digitally managed hostel allotment system.
