Two dacoits were shot dead during a police encounter in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The incident took place in the Factory Area of Lahore.
According to details, a team of the Crime Control Department (CCD) of the Defence Police Station was taking the accused Moon and Hafeez for recovery.
On their way, the accomplices of the accused opened fire on the CCD team near Walton Road.
During the heavy exchange of firing, both the accused received gun shots and died by the firing of their accomplices.
Later, the CCD team shifted the dead bodies of the accused to the General Hospital’s mortuary.
Dacoit shot dead in Vehari shootout
A dacoit was gunned down while a policeman was injured during an encounter with the Crime Control Department (CCD) personnel in Vehari.
The incident took place near village 423-EB of Vehari. The injured policeman was later identified as Ali Imam.
Later, the CCD team shifted the injured cop to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) in Burewala.
Soon after the incident police started chasing the dacoits to apprehend them.
Eight dacoits were gunned down and one policeman received in injures during two police encounters in Vehari and Arifwala.
The first police encounter took place in Vehari in which four notorious dacoits of Phakkiwas Gang who were involved in serious criminal cases, including murder, attempted murder, and snatching.
Crime Control Department (CCD) team said that after receiving credible information about presence of dacoits, a CCD team raided a location to apprehend them but after taking notice of the police party, the dacoits and their accomplices started indiscriminate firing on the CCD team.
