WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is rolling out a new feature that will give users greater control over voice message transcriptions.
The feature will offer three options for how users receive transcriptions of voice messages:
- Automatic Transcription: Transcriptions will be generated automatically for every voice message.
- Manual Transcription: Users can choose to manually transcribe specific messages.
- Disable Transcriptions: Users can turn off transcriptions completely.
This update will provide users with more flexibility and customization over how they handle transcriptions. Currently, users must manually initiate transcription for each voice message, but this new feature will allow them to adjust settings to their preference at any time.
In addition to this, WhatsApp recently introduced an exciting update that allows both Android and iOS users to personalize their chat experience with new themes and wallpapers. The update includes:
22 pre-set themes and 30 new wallpapers for a more vibrant and fun chat experience.
Users can apply themes to all chats or customize individual conversations with unique backgrounds and chat bubbles.
The update offers a variety of colorful backgrounds, and users can even change the color of outgoing messages.
These customizations are private and only visible to the user, even extending to WhatsApp Channels.
Users can adjust the brightness of the background or upload their own wallpaper from their gallery or camera roll if they prefer something beyond the pre-set options.
