A prisoner who was serving his sentence in District Jail Shikarpur died under mysterious circumstances, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The prisoner was later identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Konharo. Heirs of the prisoner said that Mushtaq Ahmad Konharo had been serving a jail sentence since last year and died due to not receiving medical treatment one time.
They alleged that jail administration failed to inform them promptly about the sudden death of Mushtaq Ahmad Konharo.
They further said that he was serving a jail term in a minor case. Jail authorities said that the real cause of the prisoner's death will be determined after receiving of post-martom report.
On the other hands heirs of the victim demanded that the relevant authorities conduct an impartial inquiry on a priority basis and provide justice to them without any delay.
