The Punjab government has banned kite-flying in parks of Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Flying kites in greenbelts and green spaces has also been banned, the government said on Thursday.
A letter has been issued to all zone directors of the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA).
In the letter, directors have been instructed to ensure the implementation of the ban on kite flying in parks under their management.
Text of letter said violation of orders should never be allowed and in case of violation, the concerned directors will be held responsible and failure to implement the orders will result in departmental action.
