Pakistan and Egypt have reaffirmed their desire to deepen cooperation through structured dialogue and continued engagement.
The understanding was reached during a meeting between Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and his Egyptian counterpart Ahmed Kouchouk in Davos, Switzerland today.
During the meeting, Muhammad Aurangzeb briefed his Egyptian counterpart on Pakistan's ongoing engagement with international financial institutions.
He said that overall economic indicators are moving in a positive direction.
The Finance Minister said Pakistan is actively pursuing reforms, including the use of technology-driven approaches to improve governance and revenue administration.
In his remarks, the Egyptian Finance Minister appreciated Pakistan's reform efforts, particularly in the area of taxation, and expressed confidence in the direction of reforms underway.
