A cruel husband along with his brothers cut off his wife's nose in the name of honour and wrapped the severed body part to his wife in paper and presented it to his father-in-law in Gulabad Goth in Manghopir area of Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Police registered a case on the complaint of the woman's father and arrested the accused husband.
The aggrieved woman’s father told the police that his daughter’s brother-in-law called and informed him that they had taken down Ayub (the alleged lover of his daughter) and cut off his daughter's nose on the charge of Karokari.
The father said when he immediately reached his daughter's house in Manghopir Gulabad Goth, his daughter was covering her face with a shawl. She told him that her husband Ismail and brother-in-law Luqman took hold of her and beat her and their third brother cut off her nose with a knife.
The woman said her in-laws alleged that she had an illicit relationship with Ayub, but she told them that she had nothing to do with Ayub, but they did not listen to her and cut off her nose.
Police arrested the accused husband of the woman and were conducting raids in search of other accused.
