Brooklyn Beckham has stirred controversy after sharing a cooking video where he boiled pasta using ocean water collected directly from the sea during a yacht trip.
The 26-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham posted the clip on Instagram to promote his hot sauce brand Cloud 23, but what caught fans’ attention wasn’t the sauce ...it was the pan dipped into seawater from the side of the boat.
In the video, Brooklyn can be seen scooping water from the ocean before preparing a tomato-based pasta dish in the yacht’s sleek industrial kitchen. He then added his signature hot sauce over the simmering tomatoes and tossed in pasta to boil using the unfiltered seawater.
While some fans admired the scenic cooking setup and praised his culinary confidence, the majority were left disgusted by his choice of water source.
“That’s disgusting using that water,” one user commented.
Another added: “When you’re sat on the toilet for the 4th time in 30 minutes, you’ll realise this wasn’t the wisest move.”
Critics pointed out the potential risks of cooking with polluted seawater, especially from areas frequented by yachts and boats where diesel, waste, and bacteria like E.coli may be present.
Still, a few followers came to his defence, calling the dish "delicious-looking" and applauding his presentation. One supporter commented, “Love your cooking tips with Cloud Brooklyn xx.”
The video surfaced just hours before Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz, 30, announced a new Instagram account dedicated to their pet dogs, continuing their push for digital ventures and personal branding.
The couple, already known for their Peltz Beckham Foundation and recent move to LA, shared photos of pups Birdie, Lamb, Label, and Angel.
This culinary controversy also arrives amid reports of ongoing tensions within the Beckham family, with Brooklyn and Nicola reportedly unfollowed by his younger brothers Cruz and Romeo on Instagram, though friends claim the couple was blocked, not the other way around.
