Jennifer Lopez is setting the record straight about her skincare brand, JLo Beauty.

In a new video posted on the brand’s Instagram, the Unstoppable star appeared makeup-free in her bathroom as she addressed fan comments,  including a pointed question about whether she uses her products.

“Do you use this every day or just when the cameras are on?” one follower asked. Lopez, 55, laughed in response and said, “That’s funny because I’m standing in my actual bathroom right now. No, I use it. I use it every day.”

The singer-actress went on to read and respond to a mix of supportive and skeptical feedback. One fan praised the moisturizer for feeling “like silk,” to which Lopez responded, “We want it to be like cashmere for your face but make it clinically tested.”

Another user praised the results, saying the brand “actually works.” Lopez quipped, “Yeah, that was the point. You thought, what? I came to play? No.”

But not all feedback was glowing. When a user commented that JLo Beauty products are “too expensive,” Lopez admitted, “Listen, I get it.” She continued, “Your skin is something that you have to show up with every single day. So if there is a little bit of splurge in you, I would say do it on skincare, without a doubt.”

Lopez also responded to scepticism around celebrity skincare brands in general.

“I tend to think celebrity skincare is not worth the hype,” one follower wrote. Her blunt reply: “Some of it isn’t. But this is luxury skincare that is clinically tested and trust me, I don’t cut corners.”

JLo Beauty launched on January 1, 2021, with eight core products and has since expanded to include items like the Beso Balm Lip Mask in 2023. Lopez previously revealed the brand was inspired by years of people asking about her glowing complexion.

“I think I’ve been thinking about it for about 20 years,” she said during an appearance on PEOPLE (The Show!). “As I got more mature, the questions came more often. It felt like an obligation … like I had to put out a skincare line for everybody who was asking.”
