Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has strongly condemned the tragic incident in the Gomal Ragzai area of Tank, where a shell struck a house, leading to civilian casualties.

Describing the incident as “deeply saddening and alarming,” the JUI leader expressed grave concern over the deteriorating security situation.

In a scathing statement, Maulana Fazl lamented that “neither children, nor women, nor the elderly are safe in this country anymore,” adding that the blood of ordinary citizens appears to have become the cheapest commodity in the homeland.

He claimed that JUI workers and leaders are being deliberately targeted in what he called a "planned campaign" and questioned the role of the state in protecting its people. “What is the state doing for the safety of life and property? It seems to be after the lives of its own citizens,” he said.

Offering his condolences to the bereaved family, Maulana Fazl prayed for strength and patience for the victims and said, “May Allah Almighty make these innocent children a means of eternal reward in the hereafter.”
