Despite a government-imposed ban on the public display of weapons, a video has surfaced on social media showing TikToker Aimal Mehmood Ahmed Mughal openly flaunting firearms, sparking fresh outrage and raising concerns over lax enforcement.
The footage, widely circulated on TikTok, shows the female TikToker seated with a pistol placed casually in her lap, in what appears to be a deliberate act of defiance.
Her display of arms is not only a violation of Punjab’s Cyber Crime Directorate (CCD) rules but also a punishable offense under the province’s laws governing public safety and digital conduct.
Authorities say the act promotes fear and anxiety among the public, especially when such content goes viral. More alarmingly, the TikToker’s actions have been interpreted as a direct challenge to IG Punjab Police and the CCD, further escalating the matter.
“Displaying weapons on social media is a crime under CCD regulations,” said an official source. “This kind of reckless behavior undermines public safety and emboldens others to do the same.”
No official action has yet been announced, but the video has reignited calls for stricter enforcement and accountability against those misusing digital platforms to promote violence and intimidation.
