The prices of petroleum products have been increased, with petrol becoming more expensive by Rs6.39 per litre and high-speed diesel by Rs7.83 per litre.
Following the increase in petrol and diesel prices, the price of kerosene oil has also been raised by Rs7.80 per litre.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has issued a notification regarding the increase in the price of kerosene oil. According to the notification, the new price of kerosene oil has been fixed at Rs297.17 per litre.
The revised price of kerosene oil will come into effect from July 23. Earlier, kerosene oil was available at Rs289.37 per litre.
The increase in petroleum product prices is expected to affect consumers, particularly those who use kerosene oil for household purposes, while higher petrol and diesel prices may also increase transportation and goods delivery costs across the country.
